Maria Bubulinis

This week, Maria Bubulinis, a senior from Oyster Bay spent time time with  with Ms. Giglio Pac to share her current creative projects.

Very excitingly, Maria is getting ready to make her second album.  This sophomore release entitled “Magic Madness: The Time of Our Lives” will not only be a compilation of original tunes written by Maria written over these last couple of years, but also will feature some other familiar LIHSA musicians, namely faculty member Dr. Dale Stuckenbruck on violin and 2021 LIHSA alum Joseph McDonald who helped record some piano parts. Maria shared that Dr. Stuckenbruck’s playing was something she envisioned while composing the song he will perform on. Balancing the time to create the album with her time available is sometimes challenging, but we are certainly excited to hear it when it’s done!

Other cool happenings: Maria enjoyed last week’s LIHSA concert at The Paramount and being featured last week in the Newsday article about LIHSA’s programs and the Joel Foundation’s continued support.
