A Visit to Five Towns College – 2024

Recently, LIHSA’s Animation and Game Design students visited Five Towns College to learn more about their Animation program.

Maddison Villalobos from Massapequa first became aware of Animation in fourth grade. They shared, “I experimented with a phone app and learned more in middle school. Then I learned about LIHSA’s program.” Maddison enjoyed seeing Five Town Colleges’ studios and classrooms.

Thomas Eisenberg from Levittown also learned Animation skills on his phone before attending LIHSA. He appreciated the Five Towns visit to see how students interact with each other there.

Stella Rinaudo is from Massapequa and attended the field trip.  She said, “I study Animation because it’s what I’ve always wanted to do. LIHSA gave me the jumpstart that most kids don’t get before they go to college.”

Xavier Ramirez from Westbury studies Game Design and was very excited about the trip. “It was very nice and relaxing, seeing a college I’ve been dreaming of going to. It helped me understand more what I want to do there.  The dorms and classrooms looked great, and the day gave me more insights into what I want to do in the future.” He loves studying game design and says, “It’s fun seeing how to make something big out of something that starts small.”
