Outstanding Senior: Anthony Tannazzo

Anthony Tannazzo, a student from the Levittown School District, is currently studying 3D Animation at the Long Island High School for the Arts. With a deep interest in Animation, Anthony decided to attend LIHSA to gain early exposure to the field he hopes to build a career in.

During his time at LIHSA, Anthony has gained valuable insights into the Animation industry. “The best thing I’ve learned is the importance of making connections,” he shares. “LIHSA has given me an incredible opportunity to start building relationships with people in the field.” These connections include Elliot Cowan, SVA Professor that worked with Anthony as a guest artist at LIHSA.

One of the projects that Anthony is most excited about is his Animation Capstone Project, where he has complete freedom to choose the medium and story. This allows him to apply the skills he’s developed throughout the program and truly express his creativity.

Looking ahead, Anthony plans to attend college and further his studies in 3D Animation. He hopes to eventually work in animation, potentially within the video game industry. His time at LIHSA, including his participation in a SkillsUSA 3D Animation competition, is helping him build the confidence and experience needed to pursue these ambitions.
For students considering LIHSA, Anthony offers some simple advice: “Put in the effort. There will be ups and downs, but with the support system here, you’ll find success if you commit to your goals.”

He also offers his gratitude to those that have taught him: “Because of my animation teacher, Mr. Fedorczak, I have the confidence to compete in a SkillsUSA tournament for 3D Animation. I’ve made some of my best friends at LIHSA. It’s been a great experience.”

We look forward to seeing where Anthony’s creativity and skills take him in the future!
