Dance
Our curriculum is crafted to develop dancers with a strong foundation in both classical and contemporary techniques, equipping them to become confident, versatile, and technically proficient professionals. Students engage in a rich exploration of contemporary choreography, learning to communicate effectively with audiences through diverse performances. They have abundant opportunities to study and perform a wide range of repertory under the guidance of esteemed faculty and distinguished guest artists. LIHSA Dance Alumni have gone on to prestigious institutions such as Juilliard, NYU, Boston Conservatory, PACE, and Point Park, among many other competitive programs.
PARTNERSHIPS
LIHSA collaborates with esteemed institutions such as the American Ballet Theatre and the Paul Taylor Dance Company to offer students unparalleled technical training. Our distinguished alumni-who have performed on Broadway and danced with renowned companies like Momix, Graham II, and Complexions Contemporary Ballet-frequently return to lead master classes and set repertory.

Music
Our music program is a highly specialized set of courses for performers and composers. We value hard-working, talented and creative musicians and, in exchange, we support them learning in a dynamic and nurturing environment. LIHSA’s curriculum is designed for students to become expert musicians that are ready for competitive music programs or the performance industry. Classes are designed to build skills for auditions and performance. Our faculty develops challenging curriculum you to fulfill each student’s individual potential.
PARTNERSHIPS
LIHSA partners with Grammy-Nominated musician Tom Guarna, and many of our alumni who have performed and produced with some of today’s best musicians. Our students perform at Radio City Music Hall, Old Westbury Gardens, and work closely with Ramona’s Gift to Music for unforgettable performance opportunities. Students work one-on-one with faculty and guest teachers. rehearsing daily throughout the academic calendar. and performing multiple different programs each school year.

Theatre and Musical Theatre
LIHSA has been teaching the best actors, musical theatre performers, dramatists and directors on Long Island for over five decades. With intensive training, our faculty supports students in preparing for the nation’s most competitive BFA & Conservatory programs as well as professional auditions. Courses in acting, voice, and movement are explored in both small lab-settings and full productions that prepare students for a career in theatre and film.

LIHSA partners with New York University Verbatim Theatre Lab, casting agents like Kevin Metzger-Timson. managers like Megan Lohne, and institutions such as Molloy College, and Norwalk Conservatory. Our talented alumni visit for master classes about their experience in numerous Broadway musicals. Students perform in Broadway Supports LIHSA with Broadway stars in an unforgettable evening performance. and again on the stage at Radio City Music Hall. Rehearsals occur daily throughout the academic calendar and students perform in multiple
productions each school year.
