Alumni Day – December 21, 2023
We were thrilled to welcome back 60+ former LIHSA grads for workshops, happy reunions, and warm hugs on December 21, 2023. It was WONDERFUL to welcome graduates from multiple decades back.
Alum Adianna Valentine shared, “Returning to LIHSA on Alumni Day was a very full-circle moment for me. The current dance students were so talented, and I left that day feeling so excited for them to take what they are learning at LIHSA into the real world! My attendance at this school enabled me to get a jumpstart to my career, and after recently graduating from college, I am now a professional dancer in NYC working with the Peridance Contemporary Dance Company. LIHSA will always feel like home!”
The dance department enthusiastically welcomed Adianna back to lead a dance contemporary dance workshop, eager to benefit from the wealth of knowledge she has acquired since graduating LIHSA and North Caroline School of the Arts.
After morning workshops in each department, alumni shared a catered lunch with faculty and staff. And each attendee received a LIHSA Alumni t-shirt in honor of our 50th anniversary.
