Dance Buddies Final Performance Spring 2024

On Monday, June 4th, LIHSA students danced over the Rosemary Kennedy School for the final Dance Buddies Performance of the year. This event was the highlight of a year-long partnership between the two schools and students that have worked together since October. The audience enjoyed dances from the Motown era, tunes from Broadway musicals, and solo dance performances by LIHSA students. It was a morning of pure joy and everyone left with a song in their hearts.

Thank you to Lindsay Rogan, Assistant Principal of LIHSA and Matthew Zegers, Principal of Rosemary Kennedy for bringing this program back to the Nassau BOCES community. This would not have been made possible without the help of Natalie L’Etoile, Nicole Tourt, and Jerry Nobile from LIHSA as well as Debbie McElwee, Courtney Mercado, Taylor Jensen, and Colleen Pumilio from Rosemary Kennedy. We would also like to extend a special Thank You to Laura Vega, LIHSA’s Principal, for coordinating the schedules and make sure the program ran smoothly.

The Dance Buddies Program received a generous grant from The Theresa Foundation so that LIHSA students could receive training from the National Dance Institute and purchase t-shirts for our performances. Thank you for your support of this program!

Congratulations Dance Buddies! Your performances were remarkable and we can’t wait to see you again in the fall!
